BeatsAudio gone after Win 10 upgrade, how to get it back.

HP Rove
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently had to reinstall Windows 10 and my audio went down the toilet.  Beats Audio is gone and I can't get it back, I have tried multiple downloads.  How do I get my sound back?

Hi:

Since I don't know what audio drivers you tried, the only suggestion I can offer would be to see if this W10 IDT audio driver from a newer model desktop PC also works on yours.

Restart the PC after installing the driver.

That one does not work, it says the installed hardware is not compatible.  How di I revert back, it is kinda crappy that an upgrade to Win 10 makes my audio virtually unusable.

What is the full model number or product number of your PC?

Use this guide to find that information...please do not post the serial number.

What OS to you want to revert back to?

Yes, it is lousy when your PC was running fine and then a W10 update wrecks something.

I have an old HP 6910p notebook that has been running fine on W10 for the last 4 years and now the last two releases wrecked the graphics driver with no fixes.

So, I am permanently stuck with W10 version 1909 on that laptop.

It is a HP ENVY Rove 20-k014us Mobile All-in-One Desktop PC.  I would like to revert back to when it worked.

Below is the link to the product specs for your PC.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03762087

It originally came with W8, but that was never available to download.

So, what you can do is to clean install W8.1 and use W8 product key in your PC's BIOS to activate the installation.

Install W8.1 by creating the Microsoft installation media, using another Windows PC, if yours is not working...You want W8.1 64 bit.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows8ISO

If you are asked to enter a product key during the installation process, use this generic key.

This is the generic key for W8.1 'Standard.'

334NH-RXG76-64THK-C7CKG-D3VPT

If you had to enter the generic key, manually change the generic product key to the W8 key in your PC's BIOS in the PC settings menu.

After you get W8.1 installed, and you had to manually enter the W8.1 generic product key, you will need to run the free utility I zipped up and attached below, that will show you show the W8 product key in your PC's BIOS.

I have also zipped up and attached below, the Microsoft tool which hopefully will transfer the ISO file to a DVD or USB flash drive so it is bootable.

Then you can install the available drivers and software from your PC's support page.

Hello
before reinstalling, which can be annoying, you have to save this data, start all over from scratch (reinstall these programs, updates etc.)
try the scan with the site (changing the settings can help sometimes)

Trouver les drivers et pilotes en téléchargement, mise à jour PC
if not, try reinstalling the original windows 8.1 driver, right click on the file, run as administrator
