I have several bluetooth devices.  When I try to connect a wireless bluetooth headset to this machine, I'm having to place the headset right on top of the pc in order to get it to connect.  Then when I listen to the audio, it works fine when I sit on the floor, but when the headset gets further away from the pc, it disconnects.

When I take the pc's side panel off, i see a couple black wires coming out from the top of the pc.  I'm guessing these are the bluetooth antennas?  If so, they need to plug into the mobo?  Not sure where they plug in?

Is there something else about this issue I'm missing?

Hi:

If the two wires are very thin, they both go to the wireless card which is lying flat on the motherboard.

It's possible that the antenna wire that provides the Bluetooth reception has become disconnected from the Wi-Fi card.

Follow them down to the motherboard and the Wi-Fi card will look like this:

That was exactly it.  At least one of the black snaps had come loose, and quite probably both.

So there wasn't any antenna for the bluetooth.

Thanks for your help.  It works beautifully now.  I can walk lots of feet away again with no loss in stereo bluetooth audio.
