Cannot get audio to work.

HP Recommended
Pavilion 590-p0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have tried everything from updating drivers to Googling if my monitor even has speakers.  Says everything is working but IS NOT PLUGGED IN.  I have HDMI hooked up to HDMI.  No go.  I have spent HOURS trying to fix this and no one to talk to.  i did everything  the virtual assistant said to do.  Even IT at work tried but could not help-said it is an HP issue. Can anyone help?

  • What is the product number for your computer?
  • What is the make and model of your monitor?
  • Does the monitor has internal speakers or do you connect external speaker to the monitor?
  • Have you tested connecting external speakers directly to the computer?
  • Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting?
