Pavilion HPE Series h8-1160t Seil 2ND1520F77
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Monitor sound is distorted "squawky". Monitor connected via Philips cable from earphone socket on PC

Bad sound from music tracks, Messenger and Skype conversations.

Tried audio trouble shooter - couldn't find a problem.

Earphones plugged into same headphone outlet on PC are also distorted.

Seems like PC is faulty - not the monitor.

Has a Beats application

Seems like an audio board component could have failed or Beats App is faulty

Any help very thankfully received

Hello
Has the monitor been tested on the intended audio connector, not the headphone jack?
