Hello,
since it cost me a few hours lifetime (vain troubleshooting...) - maybe it will help someone:
Combo/Keywords: EliteDesk 800 G5 Tower, Windows 10 2004, Audio driver SP99047.exe, Synaptics HD Audio 8.65.317.100
According to HPIA and the release doc, the driver supports this Windows Version.
After the install and reboot the CxUIUSvc service stops, CxUtilSvc is completely missing.
Two event log entries: Application Error 1000 and System 7034.
The HP Audio Controls app does not start.
Solution: Basically just restarting Windows a few times.
Suddenly the CxUtilSvc service appears, CxUIUSvc stops no more, no error log entries and the HP Audio Controls App works fine.
I couldn't find out exactly what leads to it... just wait 2-3 minutes between the restarts and try (once per "waiting time") to start the HP Audio Controls App.
Once the program starts, it seems to work permanently.
You're welcome! 🙂
Greetings,
Martin
Btw... please allow me a small rant:
The Conexant/Synaptics drivers have really been horrible for years!
Several background services, keylogger (in the past), the Flow.exe "Feature"... come on HP... maybe another chip manufacturer would be the solution?!
