Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am wanting to purchase a gaming headset.  The one I like has a single 3.5mm plug that operates both audio and mic.  Will this work on my Hp ENvy 700-214?

Standard headsets normally only have 1 plug to fit to 3.5 mm headphone/microphone combo jack and your computer does not have headphone/microphone combo jack, it has microphone and headphone jacks (separately) at the front. Therefore you need something like this
