HP Compaq Elite 8300 SFF
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I purchased a refurbished HP 8300 SFF installed a 500GB SSD and MSI Radeon RX560. Clean installation of Windows 10, 64 bit Pro. Everything works except I don't get audio from the front headphone jacks. Audio plays through the display port connection on my monitor but nothing through the headphone jacks. I've installed all the firmware and driver updates from HP for the 8300 and update the BIOS to the latest 3.07 revision. Windows Device manager reports that the Realtek HD Audio driver and the AMD HD Audio Device are working normally. AudioSnip.PNG

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer would be to go to the Windows Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Sound>Manage audio devices and set the PC speakers/headphone jack as the default.

The sound is going to the display port, which is your separate AMD HD audio device from the graphics card.

They can't work at the same time.  It is one or the other (PC Realtek HD audio, or AMD HD audio).

If you want the sound to go to your monitor, then you need to change the settings back when you are done with the headphones.
