HP ROAR PLUS connection problems

HP Recommended
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have a HP ROAR PLUS wireless speaker. It connects and works fine on all my other devices, but not on PC with windows 7 (64).

It used to work fine. Now it get's detected, but not connected. On some lucky days, it even shows connected. I see it even in the list of available speakers to choose from in Windows/VolumeMixer. Not by name/model but some Bluetooth device.

But never sound.

So somehow the pairing fails. I have other Bluetooth headphones and they connect and work fine on the PC. But not the HP ROAR. I tried deleting it from the list and rediscovering it. Reinstalling the Bluetooth on the PC ( I use a Bluetooth dongle) etc. Nothing seems to help. What could be going on? How to solve this problem?
