HP cd sound murky

I have high end speakers used to be a DJ and every time i listen to a cd from the CD drive the sound is distorted and murky.

I have tried everything i could played with the beat audio settings replace my cd rom with another one nothing seems to work.

Soundcard itself is good if i play any files from my hard drive or from youtube or anywhere else it sounds great only playing cd's is an issue ......

Similar problems and from many users from across the country.  I found similar quirky CD playback that involved tracks from more than just Warner Bros discs, but that involved a laptop drive.  You said the drive was replaced but was it replaced with the same make drive?

Thanks for your reply. I took a random original cd that was kicking around and upon playing it i realized thaat my cd rom is fine, so the problem is that some of he cd's that distort are low budget burned copies from random places like Cuba and Dominican

At least now i know that there is nothing wrong with my player 🙂
