Headphone jack won't stay connected - HP Pavilion All-in-One - 23-q111na (Touch)

HP Recommended
HP Pavilion All-in-One - 23-q1
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

New PC, Win10 pre-installed. sound through speakers fine. Just plugged in headphones, see message that system recognises headphones plugged in, a second later see messge that unplugged, although jack firmly in connection. Sound out of speakers not phones, although phones still plugged in - jack is. Tried it with two different headphones.  If I use one hand to hold jack hard against computer, sometimes, and only sometimes, I can get sound in phones. headphone jack unusable, BIG problem for me. Help appreciated, thanks

Turned PC off, turned upside down, established that it is possible to insert headphone jack further into socket, securely, works.  Design suggestion for HP: put sockets where they are accessible, on a front panel or on the side. Anyway, problem sorted.
