Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently installed a Windows 10 update and after that I lost my audio. I removed the update, but still no sound. During troubleshooting I found that there were no sound drivers installed. Tried to install drivers, but was unable. I've been working on this for 3 days and have gotten no where. Have tried every troubleshooting guide I can find - no help. In Device Manager under; "Sound, Video and Game Controllers, it says "IDT High Definition Audio CODEC". When I "Right Click" on that it says "No drivers are installed for this device". Under Driver Files, it says: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\ksthunk.sys.

Don't know what else to do. Problem is wearing me out.

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer, would be to see if installing this W10 IDT audio driver, and restarting the PC, resolves the problem.
