Hi:
The High Definition Audio device listed in your screenshot is the Intel HD audio device that needs a driver.
You only need that if you are connnected to a monitor with speakers via a HDMI cable.
Your PC does not have an internal speaker.
If you have PC speakers plugged into the light green audio jack in the back of the PC, see if installing this W10 IDT audio driver and restarting the PC, gets the sound to work.
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71717.exe
Here is how you install the Intel HDMI audio driver that is missing...
Download and install this free file utility. The 2nd link at the top of the page is for 64 bit.
Then download and save, but do not run the W8 intel graphics driver from our PC's support page.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp59001-59500/sp59329.exe
After you save the graphics driver file, right click on the file, and select 7-Zip from the list of items on the menu.
Have 7-Zip Extract to: and let it extract the file into its folder name (sp59329).
Once that is done, go to the device manager, click on the High Definition Audio Device you highlighted in your screenshot.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder that 7-Zip created.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and the driver should install.
Then restart the PC.
If you have a HDMI cable plugged into a TV or monitor with speakers, the sound should now be working again.
