IDT HIGH DEFINITION AUDIO CODEC and WINDOWS 10

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

No sound from the speaker or headphone. There is a red cross beside the symbol of the sound on the task bar. Cannot update the drive IDT High Definition Audio Codec, it said that there is some erro when trying to intall them, the device of the system that it linked did not work. What should I do?

Hi:

 

See if the W8.1 IDT audio driver from your notebook's support page gets the audio to work again.

 

Restart the PC after installing the driver.

Try to install the driver but it said that not compatible with the hardware. After restarting the computer, the Red Cross disappeared but still no sound. The speaker cannot be tested by the system saying that there is no sound source.
