Hi @Allan122

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It sounds like your HP Pavilion All-in-One is experiencing audio issues, which can be frustrating.

Here are some steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem:

Check Sound Settings:

  • Right-click on the speaker icon in the system tray and select "Open Sound settings."
  • Under "Output," ensure the correct audio device is selected.
  • If external speakers are connected, make sure they are selected as the output device.

Run the Audio Troubleshooter:

  • Go to "Settings" > "System" > "Sound."
  • Scroll down and click "Troubleshoot" under the "Advanced" section.
  • Follow the prompts to detect and fix audio issues.

Update Audio Drivers:

  • Open "Device Manager" by searching for it in the Start menu.
  • Expand the "Sound, video, and game controllers" section.
  • Right-click on your audio device (e.g., Realtek Audio) and select "Update driver."
  • Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software."

Reinstall Audio Drivers:

  • In "Device Manager," right-click on your audio device and select "Uninstall device."
  • Restart your computer, and Windows should automatically reinstall the audio drivers.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Go to "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Windows Update."
  • Check for any pending updates and install them.

Test with Different Speakers or Headphones:

  • Try connecting a different set of speakers or headphones to rule out issues with the external device.

Reset Audio Settings:

  • If none of the above steps work, you can reset your audio settings by going to "Settings" > "System" > "Sound" > "Advanced sound options" and clicking "Reset."

If this solution hits the spot, please come back and click "Accepted Solution" to help others find the answer. And if you'd like to say thanks, select "Yes" on the bottom left of the public post, as that would make our day! 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!

Regards,
