HP Recommended

I have a microphone plugged into my computer via the microphone jack in the back. When I go to the sound settings in the control panel and look for recording devices all I see for Microphone is "2-AV TO USB2.0." There are other items listed but nothing for microphones. I have hooked that microphone up to other devices and it seems to be working ok. I have tried several different programs to record sound from the microphone but
