My New headphones go to 'sleep mode' and it takes two seconds of running the audio to 'restart' them

I just bought Omen Blast headphones and they work great but I have this annoying problem where if there is no sound coming from my PC for 10-15 seconds, when I run something with sound, it takes about 1.7 seconds for the sound to actually start coming into the headphones. 

I work with Audacity and whenever I start playing a file, the PC shows like it's playing it, but I get to hear the sound only 1.7 seconds later. The only thing I can think of is running some white noise quietly in the background so that the headphones don't turn themselves off.

Just want to reply that I figured the problem out, or at least I found a solution. After hours of tinkering and researching, I realized that in my Sound Control Panel, in Recording, the Realtek High Definition Stereo Mix was disabled. I enabled it. And then in its properties, I went to Listen tab and checked 'Listen to this device' and 'continue running when on battery power'. And then on Levels, I just pulled the Stereo Mix all the way to 0. I guess this technically gives the sound driver a reason to work so it doesn't turn itself off all the time. I saw this recommendation on another website and it worked for me, maybe someone else can fix it the same way.
