My computer only has a headphone jack what do i do?

I have a iphone and i know how to plug it in to my pc to make it act as a micorphone but my new computer only has one headphone jack and when i plug it in my computer thinks its a pair of headphones. i could use some help.

• How are you connecting the phone to the headphone jack?

While I wait for the answers, I would like to inform you that most of the computers nowadays have a combo port (Headphone port) and when you connect any headphones to it both the speakers and the mic works on the headphones.
