Welcome to the HP Forums!

Thank you for posting your query on this forum, it's a great place to find answers.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to connect your iPhone to the computer and you want to use it as a microphone however, with the new computer you are unable to do it.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details.

  • What is the model for your computer?
  • What is the exact issue you are facing?
  • How are you connecting the phone to the headphone jack?
  • Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting?

While I wait for the answers, I would like to inform you that most of the computers nowadays have a combo port (Headphone port) and when you connect any headphones to it both the speakers and the mic works on the headphones.

Hope that answers your question and you have a great day!
