Pavilion 590-p0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Control Panel Sound Item shows audio "unplugged". Delete drivers and reinstall does not work. Sound is available through rear and front headphone jacks.

Please try

   (a) Right click speaker icon,

   (b) Select Open Sound settings,

   (c) Select HDMI sound from Choose sound output device,

   (d) Click Ok/Apply to get out

Regards.

I've done that, but the HDMI Rectangle is greyed out, has the "unpluged" message, and no amount of clicking will open it.,
