HP Pavilion Desktop - 500-415no
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

My desktop got slow in windows 10 so I used recovery to get back to win 8.1

But after that the sound was gone.

I have tried everything I know to fix it but with no success.

Driver uodate says that drivers are OK for AMD high difinition audio device and IDT high definition audio codec.

If I point at the speaker icon in lower right corner it says : No audio output device is installed.

The sound has been working fine in win 10.

I have also used HP support assistant but it couldnt fix the problem.

Please advice what I should do !

Regards

Erik

I get this answer from Windows : Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)

So I have deleted all drivers, both for IDT and AMD high def..... and installed new drivers.

But I still get the same answer from Windows 8.1

HP support assistant cannot solve the problem. Is there a way to manipulate windows to accept the drivers ?

Thankful for help !
