Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently had to reset the system back to Windows7 and upgrade to WIndows10 due to HDD disk replacement.
After the Windows10 upgrade, WIndows says that "No audio devices are installed".    I am not sure whether audio was working after the Windows7 restore, but I assume so.

I tried all variations of driver updates, device enables/disables.

It sounds similar to below:

Solved: No Audio Output Device installed after windows 10 installed - HP Support Community - 8139850

Is it a driver issue, and is there a similar driver file still available for the 1150?
Note that the system has a NVDIA GT630 installed, and no sound devices is available via HDMI.
If no driver is available, would an external USB speaker be recognized?
Thank you for your support.

Hi:

See if this W10 IDT audio driver works for you.  This is for the onboard sound, not the sound via HDMI.

Tempo High-Definition Audio Driver (Original IDT)

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71717.exe

Restart the PC after installing the driver.

The Nvidia HDMI audio driver is installed by the Nvidia graphics driver.

This is the latest driver for that GPU:

GeForce Security Update Driver | 473.81 | Windows 10 64-bit, Windows 11 | NVIDIA

Yes, the sp71717.exe fixed it immediately.

Thank you for the resolution.
