HP Pavillion All In One
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

No sound comes from the Realtek intigrated speakers or from the new set of external speakers i hooked up. i updated the drivers to no avail. It recognizes when i plug/unplug the new speakers but will not see them when i scan for new hardware. bluetooth speakers work though. windows cannot detect a problem. HP assistant says that its a generic audio driver but cant see whats wrong.

Hi:

What is the full model number or product number of your AIO PC?

Use this guide to find that info...

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01492484

The support assistant should be reporting some specific model audio driver such as Realtek HD or IDT HD.

If it is reporting a generic audio driver is installed, then the correct driver may be missing.
