I have no sound after Windows did an automatic update. Running audio check didn't work as it says no speakers or microphone are detected. Please help.

@ktaylor77 Welcome to HP Community!
I understand that the no speakers detected after windows update.
Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.
Please uninstall the audio drivers and reinstall drivers. Also, please update the BIOS.
If the issue still persists, perform the system restore.
System Restore is a feature in Microsoft Windows that allows the user to revert their computer's state (including system files, installed applications, Windows Registry, and system settings) to that of a previous point in time, which can be used to recover from system malfunctions or other problems.
