No sound when connecting HDMI cable

HP Recommended
HP 22w (1CA83AA)
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi

I bought a new monitor HP 22w and when I connect the HDMI cable to the video card GT 1030, I don't have a sound, but the picture is available.

The video card has a port HDMI.

When reconnecting the cable the monitor outputs "Input signal not found. Check the video cable and video source."

what could be the problem?

What can I do to make a sound?

Hi:

I am looking at the specifications link for your monitor.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-value-21-inch-displays/7274735/model/16313837/document/c0555...

Nowhere in the specifications do I see that this monitor has built in speakers.

Just because it has an HDMI port, doesn't mean it has audio.

You will need to go to the windows control panel, hardware and sound>sound>manage audio devices and set the PC speakers (onboard audio) as the default audio device.
