HP EliteDisplay S340c 34-inch Curved Monitor

Monitor is connected via DisplayPort to computer. Updated drivers and firmware to latest. Installed HP Display Center. Upon pressing physical speaker mute button, I'm no longer able to unmute speakers. Light remains lit at all times, pressing it would display muting and unmuting in windows volume, but monitor volume always remains muted. Volume buttons do not work and only display muted icon. Accessing volume from menu, also displays mute at all times and +/- do not work. Camera and microphone have no issues. Windows audio is being played. Factory reset does not work. Speakers mute light remains lit even when monitor is powered off. Plugging, unplugging, restarting have no effect. Bang & Olufsen audio is switched on. Monitor speaker test produces sound. Display Center mute radio button changes states, but does not affect monitor. Everything in the chain seems fine, it's just I can't physically make speakers unmute themselves.
