Microsoft Windows XP (64-bit)

So this problem has been going on for a couple days now and I can't figure out what it is. The sound on my computer keeps going up and down. If it's up it'll start to go down and the stay that way even when clicking it back up it just goes back down. Same with going up it'll be loud and ill try to turn it down and still be gradually rise and stay up. After a minute it'll return to normal but it happens again. I've checked all audios and ran a malware and I've got nothing. Even troubling shooting and reinstalling the drive, nothing.  I thought it was league of legends causes that's where it started but I noticed it still happens even not playing.  Any tips or tricks or even recommendation would be helpful, listing all info for my computer below. \

Greetings!

Welcome back to the HP Community. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries. I have reviewed your post and I understand, there's an issue with the audio.

Don't worry, I'm here to help! To better assist you -

1) May I have the exact model name of the computer? Refer to this link for steps to find the product details.
(Ensure not to share the serial number, email, phone number, etc.)

2) Were there any hardware or software changes made?

While you respond to that, let's try these steps -

Step 1 Run Audio troubleshooter -

1) In Windows, type "Find and fix audio" into Search, or right-click the speaker icon on the taskbar and select Troubleshoot sound problems.
2) Select Find and fix audio playback problems or Find and fix audio recording problems from the Search results.

Step 2 Re-install the Audio drivers -

1) In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.
2) Double-click Sound, video and game controllers.
3) Right click on the Audio drivers and click on uninstall.
4) Restart the computer.

If the issue still persists, try updating the computer -

Step 3 Windows Updates troubleshooter -

Click on this link to run the Windows Updates troubleshooter.

Step 4 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates.
2) Check for updates.
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Step 5 HP Support Assistant Updates -

1) Z5N92AA #ABA

2)Ran that and nothing changed

3) I've updated Windows and even went to delete and reinstall both audios

I even went ahead and reinstalled windows itself to see if it would fix the problem, and it was okay for a sec then started again. Is it possible its a virus?
