Just a few days ago, the audio on my PC just completely stopped working, and whenever unmuted, my PC makes this popping/crackling noise that sounds like an alarm. The only way to get rid of this noise is to either mute the volume or plug in a headphone wire. When I try to get any audio output, I hear nothing but the cracking, except for when headphones are plugged in, in which case I only get white noise. I've tried every software fix I can, but none of them seem to improve the issue, so I suspect a hardware problem. How should I go about fixing it, should I call a repair service or is there anything else I can do?
