Very low sound on new Envy 17

HP Recommended
Envy 17 Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My wife purchased a new Envy 17 Notebook and the sound is very loweven at full level. Can this be solved easily?

That is due to Windows updates, re-install sound driver for it should help, But what is your Envy 17 ? Please use the following instructions to find out the model/product of your machine:

  http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00033108

  Please do NOT post its Serial number (s/n).

notebooks wise we use getacs (HP doesn't make one that is "Us proof") but i had a similar problem -- all i did was right click the speaker icon, went to sound properties, wandered around in the settings till i found the gains - cranked up the gain for line out and things were back to normal, volume control didn't work until after a reboot though -- 28  notebooks did that to me with this win 1803 update
