Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I wrote last week about getting my soundbar to work through hdmi. I have that working, now, here's part 2. I use a screen reader called JAWS for Windows. If I plug a USB headset in, and tell JAWS to use it, with Windows set to play all other sounds through HDMI, JAWS goes silent. However, if I put everything through USB, I get speech as I need it through my headset. The only thing is, I don't want all sounds through USB, just my speech. If I plug a 8th inch headset in, I can separate things as I need them. Is there a limitation with HDMI on this machine that's causing this? Only reason I need to use a USB headset, is because the front of my computer only has one 8th inch sound port, so cannot plug in both the headset and mic connectors, and sometimes my work requires me to attend zoom meetings, requiring me to have a microphone. Thanks for any help.
