Hi,
1. old hp recovery won't work with Windows 10. You can use Windows 10 buil-in tool. You have to create Recovery set/media BEFORE upgrade ro Windows 10.
2. hp media smart is an old product, please try the new one:
http://www.hp.com/global/us/en/consumer/digital_photography/free/software/photo-creations.html
