hp24fw no audio

I have the Hp24fw monitor hooked up to an xbox but it has no sound. Is there a way to get sound to come out of the monitor? Or do i need speakers?

There are two versions of this monitor, one with audio output (i.e. speakers) and one without. The version with speakers has an audio-in jack at the back of the monitor and you will need to connect an audio cable from your device to the monitor.

I have the version with speakers and to be honest the sound isn't that good and I use external speakers, which is far better. The audio output is only 1.5w per speaker and the sound is very low and very tinny.
