If your PC has the IDT audio system, see if installing this W10 driver and restarting the PC gets the Beats audio to work again:

Tempo High-Definition Audio Driver (Original IDT)

6.10.6504.0

Some additional info is needed for help.

First explain the statement "just had new hard drive "

What was done and if this is a new drive replacing the original drive or an additional drive?

Next how was this new drive prepared?

Lastly - Please post the model number of the PC and the version of Windows being used.

Sorry @Paul_Tikkanen   posting at the same time.

Hi, @TheOldMan

The only HP desktop PC's that I know of that came with the Beats audio system have the IDT audio chip.

Most of them don't have W10 drivers but the last series of Envy all in one PC's and some of the HP 700 models had the IDT audio and there was only one W10 driver ever released for those (sp71717) which also usually works for the older models that do not have W10 drivers on the support page.

This is why I didn't ask for any info regarding the model of the PC, because if that driver doesn't work, then it is unlikely anything else will.

Thanks @Paul_Tikkanen

That is a tidbit I did not know about.  I'll try to remember that.
