touchscreen 300 series

hi....

does anyone know if there is in fact a microphone already installed on my desktop... i thought there was one if so, its no longer showing up.... what do i need to do... i went to device manager and nothing there but a line-in is enabled but not microphe icon shows up.

@mscraft, welcome to the forum.

 

When requesting help you should always include the make/model (i.e. p6-xxxx) of the computer and/or monitor. This information is necessary for us to review the specifications of them.  Here is a guide to help you find the model.

thanks for getting back.  Sorry, I forgot to put the model number..  

I have a HP Touchsmart 300 series.  I thought i had accessed this mic feature before.  Now the whole control panel, recording tab... nothing shows up for a mic.  when i do a troubleshoot it says one or more things in audio are not present.  my son mentioned i should be able to even use the mic earplug that came with the ps4... but that neither.

 

any help greatly appreciated.
