No audio on videos or itunes built in speakers on monitor

This comes down to a couple of different issues.

 

First, the video or audio player needs to have the right CODEC to be able to play the video. The most common player for PCs is the VLC Media player as it comes with most common CODECs supplied.  The newer version MS Media Player in Win11 work fairly well, too. Can not speak to other audion/video apps.

 

Second, you need to have the sound OUTPUT device set to the speakers -- for the app that you are using.  You would have to check the app settings to see what sound options are there.
