Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

after reinstalling windows 10, there is no sound from the internal speakers.  in properties there is the following message

 

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

A device attached to the system is not functioning.

 

when attempting to update driver there is an error message

 

idt high def audio codec

drivers found but a  device attached to the system is not functioning

Hi:

 

The only suggestion I can offer, would be to see if this W10 IDT audio driver works on your model.

 

Install and restart the PC.
