Product: hp envy all in one 27-b2xx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

no sound through the HDMI input. I tried the cable on another setup and it was fine. Also tried the x box on another setup and it was fine. I have the internal Bang and Ofulsen speakers which work fine when using the PC/Computer mode. I have tried everything that I can think of. Updating Audio Drivers etc. The only thing I can think of is that the HDMI input is bad?
Help anyone?

I don't think the connection goes thru sound card and your xBox use the monitor as an normal monitor with NO speaker only.

 

Hope this makes sense.

hello,thank you for your reply.

I cannot understand why you would put an HDMI input port on a pc then.

I also found another post with a similar question and after much messing about they found it was the software that was at fault,i just cannot find that post now.

the respondent was from hp support but I cannot get hold of them at the moment.
