3F0 error

HP Recommended
HP Spectre X350 13
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

On boot up, I get an error

Boot device not found.

Hard Disk (3F0).

Please install an operating system on your hard disk.

I have ran all diagnostics test and have no errors, except with the storage test, I get "no storage installed".

I have removed the SSD and reinstalled, tried reinstalling windows 10 off of a USB. The Installation is succesful but the system stills shows the 3F0 error.

I have also verified legacy support is not enabled ( I don't even see it as an option). I have also reloaded the defaults and saved on the bios setup.

Can you connect the SSD as a secondary disk-drive in some other computer?

Is the SSD recognized by Windows on that computer?

Can you read any files from the SSD?

Or, on your computer, enter BIOS SETUP, to confirm that the list of "bootable" devices includes the SSD.

If the SSD is not listed, that could cause the error-message.

Or, on your computer, at power-on, press a key to enable you to "choose a startup device". Is the SSD listed? If you force your computer to boot from the SSD, does it boot successfully?

RE: USB boot, HPs are very finnicky with getting booted. Your disk needs to be in the right format and you have to get a boot menu to select the drive proper to boot too. I had this problem trying to boot Ubuntu on a stick, and ended up going old school with a DVD drive.
