AIO 23-q105na - will not start up most of the time

AIO 23-q105na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

Ive got an AIO 23-q105na which will not start up - blank screen.

I get an LED flash code from the front of the workstation when on power - 7 flashes,  then a pause.

Occasionally it starts up,  but most of the time it does not - but when it does,  it works perfectly until powered completely off,  then the troubles start again - computer restarts are fine,  but total power off causes the problem.

So far,  i have tried:-

A replacement Power Supply

Installing all outstanding Windows updates

Disconnect the power supply and hold in the power button for 20 seconds with no power

Any advice or guidance you can offer would be fantastic.

Mike

Hi

Cannot find your product number.

I can direct you to this HP Support document detailing BIOS error codes for 23-q200 series systems. I would think the BIOS error codes in this document will give you a hint as to what is happening.

Scroll down to "Beep codes for AMI BIOS".

The error code you describe refers to errors caused by motherboard components.

It would appear your PC , at some point in time, is not going to POST anymore. You need to have the system looked at by HP or a local technician to determine what component is on it's way out.
