Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just want to add an SSD as a boot device. I was curious if I would run into any proprietary issues getting into BIOS or switching boot device. Plan on doing this in the next couple weeks. Also, is there any way to keep the Windows license? I do not plan on doing any cloning. The HDD is getting super slow. The plan is to unplug the HDD, plug in the SSD and download Windows via USB. Once the install is done I will plug the HDD in with the next SATA connector. A little background, I built myself a gaming computer in Jan 2020. So I have a little experience but not a whole lot. Future plan is to turn this computer into a gaming computer (using the i7 4770) for my son. Thanks!

Hello
no, that shouldn't be a problem!
Having said that, I advise you to take the image anyway.
I installed an SSD on an equivalent computer, the larger HDD, and full, I just made a little space before, because the difference between the SSD and the hard disk was quite important
And nothing to see after booting on the SSD!
You can always install windows directly on it, it's up to you!
If you have upgraded to windows 10, you shouldn't have an activation problem!
