Product: HP t610 PLUS WW Thin Client
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I wanted to swap the original 16GB internal flash hard drive of this PC  with a 120GB kingston SDD. I believe the SSD is connected but when pressing F9 at startup there is no boot from the USB. I was assuming i would intall a operating system with a USB boot drive. Can someone help me?

 

My system:

Windows 7 Professional (32 Bit)

(I have 2 usb sticks with either the same windows version (to intall) or a linux mint 17 (64-bit). Whichever is easier. I have used these usb drives before to install a new OS so i know they are ok

According to the HP specs, your model PC comes witn Win7 EMBEDDED -- which is not a standard retail or OEM version of Windows.

It could very well be that since this is a custom OS, there is also code that requires the original storage media to be there for it to work.

Perhaps someone will come along with different advice, but barring that, I think you're stuck with the original storage media.
