Desk top will not turn on after a power surge

Welcome to the HP Forum.

 

Sorry to hear this. Maybe add an UPS in the future to prevent component damage from power surges and power outages.

 

It looks like the power surge may taken out, at least, your power supply, or possibly other components.

 

The easiest and possibly least expensive way to assess the damage is to have a local PC Tech take al look. You could try HP Support if the PC is in warranty. But I don't know if the  HP warranty would cover this.

 

Troubleshooting the PC would require swapping in components, which could become very expensive if you do this, to determine the extent of the power surge damage.
