Pavilion All-in-One PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

All in One computer would not boot to Windows (after the HP logo, you get the circling dots type of hourglass but when it goes away, you only see the mouse. it never goes into Windows, no errors, no beeps)

So i replaced the mechanical hard drive, (which seems to be dead when i slave it on another computer), but with the new HD, the result is the same - looks like it's going to load windows but it stops and you only see the mouse on a black screen.

when i try to restore the computer to factory, that option is greyed out under HP Recovery Manager (hit ESC at the HP logo, "F11 - System Recovery", then "Troubleshoot", then "recovery Manager").

How can i reload the OS? Is there a way to buy the system restore CDs or USB? Or what options do i have, if i can't boot into Windows?

any help would be appreciated - i am very frustrated 😞

thanks!

@Rodelu

What is your machine ?  For (original) Windows 10. Please use Cloud Recovery tool:

thank you for getting back to me, I appreciate it.

Unfortunately, looks like my system is not supported for this tool even though it's from 2017 (HP Pavilion All in One, model 27-a227c). Is there another tool I could use? I found the recovery USB, but i'd prefer to avoid spending $60 if possible - money is tight.

thanks!
