All-in-one caps lock blinking and won't come out of sleep

HP Recommended
V8P23AA#ABA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After leaving my computer to go into sleep and returning to it, all I get is a black screen and the caps lock blinking slowly but continuously.  It requires a hard reboot (holding power button) to come back.  If I shut it down through the start menu, it boots up fine.  This only happens if left on to go into sleep mode.

@emcee95 To identify & understand what those blinking lights represent: Click here

Have you reset the computer to release excessive static? If not, use the below steps:

  • Ensure your device is OFF.
  • Unplug all the external devices (If any).
  • Disconnect the power cord from the PSU,
  • Press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds.
  • Connect the power supply (power cord).
  • Press the power button to turn on your desktop.

No luck with that.  When the computer goes into sleep and I hit the spacebar to wake it up, screen remains black and the capslock button blinks.

Maybe it's hibernating after sleep. Waking from hibernation requires pressing the power button.
