Asked to check HDMI cable

HP Recommended
Pavilion ‘all in on’ PC 27

Just turned on my brand new PC and the message ‘check HDMI - in cable’. I have turned the PC off and on and can’t get beyond this point. Very frustrating. Appreciate any help

There are many "All-in-One" PC's.  If you can posted the complete model number, then an better answer can be given.

Some "All-in-One" PC's allow an external monitor to be connected.  In that case look on the case to see if there is a button that switches the screen from internal to external or find the HDMI out and connect another screen (TV or another monitor) until you can get the screen switched to "internal".
