Automatic Screen Lock

Pavilion
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

After signing in to our desktop computer, the screen automatically re-locks after 1-25 seconds. I can't figure out why, and I cant stay on the windows screen long enough to search for the cause or remove the sign in.

Automatic Screen Lock

@Haze15,

I reviewed your post and I understand that the screen locks automatically as soon as you log in.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

You need to turn off the automatic lock screen option in the privacy settings.

Here is how it is done.

  1. Open the Activities overview and start typing Privacy.
  2. Click on Privacy to open the panel.
  3. Select Screen Lock.
  4. Make sure Automatic Screen Lock is switched Off.

In case if you are unable to follow the above steps, then perform a system restore following the steps in the below article back to the date when the computer was working fine.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
