Hi @captkirkj
Welcome to the HP Forum.
I hope you routinely backup data. Or you may be able to recover data by connecting the system drive to a different PC as a data drive if it is failing, or has failed.
Two possible issues can cause this problem. I am guessing you cannot get to the Windows login screen, is this correct?
1. A hardware problem, possibly the system drive or a memory issue.
Start the PC. Repeatedly tap "ESC".
Select "F2". Run system and component tests.
You may have to replace a faulty component.
2. You have a corrupted Windows boot loader.
Fixing this problem could be a can of worms. Check this YouTube video for tips on fixing this issue.

I am able to login to windows 11. I do backups. I just ran about six and 1/2 hours of HP tests and all passed. I will try tomorrow to research the boot loader. I have been unable to update the BIOS for the past couple of weeks. Getting the (3FO) message.
I will let you know how I turn out.
Thank you for you response.

Hi @captkirkj
My pleasure.
Thanks for additional info.
A 3F0 error usually suggests the system drive has a problem.
And you can consistently run Windows. So this is somewhat perplexing??
I would verify system drive status by downloading and running Crystal Disk Info, Zip version. You should see good health status, no media or data integrity errors, and no error log information entries.
Edit: I don't know why you are getting a 3F0 drive error when trying to update the BIOS using this BIOS update. 3FO errors usually occur when starting the PC. This normally means you have a system drive problem.

Thanks for Crystal Disk. The only thing that is RED is the temperature of 149 degrees. That appears to be way above normal according to a google search for normal temperature should be between 86 and 122 degrees.
I really appreciate your help.

Hi @captkirkj
My pleasure.
Thanks for the image.
149 degrees F is way above typical operating specs for an idle NVME drive. This drive is running at close to the upper limit recommended (70 degrees C). My temp readings for idle NVME drives are around 40 C or 104 F.
I can't say if a M.2 drive heat sink would help since this drive is running hot at idle.
You might want to replace the drive. I think the high operating temps will cause instability and the drive may fail sooner than later.

I ran Crystal Disk this morning and the temp is now at 86°. I went to GEEK squad and they suggested to simply blow compressed air through the frame of the computer. It's an HP all in one 27" and extremely difficult to open up. The computer is running perfectly. However, its only been one day.
Thank you for the Crystal Disk, I will be running it frequently. You have been a tremendous help.
