BIOS and SD-card

HP Pavilion x2 - 10-n114nd
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)
I have a tablet with little memory and therefore use a micro-sd card. But when I start my computer, it does not immediately see the SD card. I must first take out the card and back before the computer sees the card. The man from the computer store was talking about a change in the BIOS but did not want to explain to me how I could do that. Now I want to figure it out myself but I do not know how it works. How can I configure the BIOS to start the computer with my SD card?

BIOS and SD-card

Here is the Software and Drivers page for that model

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-10-n100-x2-detachable-pc/8499312/model/...

There are two BIOS updates available and directions on how to update.  Just click on download the file.  Once it has completed, double click the download and follow the directions.  It does not make any comments on the SD card, however.
