HP 500-027c

I need to have this machine boot with no mouse/keyboard/display attached.  I currently use it dual boot with both windows and linux but I want to make it a backup which I can turn on remotely to take out the content from it, or if possible use it as a headless machine.

I can't seem to adjust anything that will make it boot as I want or is it not available?

Thank you

To be able to boot a PC remotely, you must have an option in the BIOS for Wake-on-LAN.  That allows a signal going to the PC over a network cable to wake up the PC.  If you do not have that, you can not do this.

Thank you for taking the time to reply.

I am able to boot it remotely.  I have been doing it for a while.  I use my pfsense box to send the "magic pockets" to turn it on but it gets stuck when there is no display connected or mose/keyboard.  I do now know if there is a workaround - definitely no bios update from HP.

I am thinking of just leaving it connected to a monitor and mouse and keyboard if there is no altenative but it takes up too much room.  All my other PCs can boot with or without a monitor attached to them (mostly dell and Lenovo)
