BIOS update (sp49904) for my HPE-380t has revoked certificate

I believe that this issue is due to the problem HP had with a certificate being revoked due to accidentally signed malware.

When will hp reissue this software with a good certificate?

A while updating your bios there's 2 things that can happen

1. Not properly updated correctly in your own without experience you can crash your pc or leave something behind
2. If the bios update driver is downloaded from another server outside HP drivers then hallelujah for your PC , wait for an hacker miracle

Thanks for the reply, but I don't understand what you are getting at. My post was supposed to be a reply to another thread, but it somehow got posted as a question. I don't know what I did wrong, but here we are.

Anyhow, the issue is that BIOS update files downloaded directly from HP cannot be run from Windows anymore because HP has revoked the certificate that was used to sign them. Until HP releases a new version of the update, it cannot be run from Windows.

This is true for many of the SPs that HP has posted on its website, and until they release new versions, those SPs are not usable.
