Bios PAssword Reset @ HP TouchSMart 600-1200 ???

@Andrick

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂

I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.

As I understand you need to get past the BIOS power on password,

I'd like to thank you for the detailed description of your concern,

 as you have ensured I don't have to ask any more questions, that said, I'm afraid you would have to Contact HP for a hardware service as the motherboard may require a tattoo/Bios Flash.

Any other way of unlocking the BIOS is not authorized by HP.

HP Technical Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: http://h22207.www2.hp.com/us-en/?openCLC=true

(1) Once the support page opens please select the country in which you're located. Next, enter your HP model number on the right.

(2) Next, choose the 'Contact Support' tab at the top and scroll down to the bottom of the 'HP Support- Contact' page to fill out the form provided with your contact information.

(3) Once completed click the 'Show Options' icon on the bottom right.

(4) Lastly, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select 'Get the phone number.' A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

Bios PAssword Reset @ HP TouchSMart 600-1200 ???

Thanks for replay.
Its not the bios power-on-password, its the BIOS settings password.

So the password reset jumper in the motherboard is disabled some how?

I am from germany and as i understand, to contact the support n.my country by phone cost 30 bugs, no Mather what i want. In my eyes its a bit much for simply getting a download link to flash the bios.

May its cheeper to contact the support in America ?
By the way, PC is registered to me.
Is there any way not supported by HP what will help?

@Andrick

Thank you for responding,

It's great to have you back 😉

I'm glad you've clarified that,

And now that we are on the same page,

You may Click here for details on updating the BIOS.

That said, if your device is within the HP warranty, you should be able to make use of the toll free number to Contact HP and have the device repaired free of cost as well.

Also, you can only avail hardware support from the region you purchased the device from.

I hope that information helps!

If you would like to thank me for my efforts to help you,

 feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below,

Followed by clicking on the "Accept as solution" button.

Have a great day!

Bios PAssword Reset @ HP TouchSMart 600-1200 ???

Thanks for replay.
For future information: the PC is out of warenty. I bought the PC in Russia but living in germany so it means I have to contact Russian support?

At the support page of my model I didn't find any bios file, even not the actual one, but to be honest I didn't look at the operation system what was installed when I purchased the computer.

I am on a business trip, so in detail I will have a look at the things you mentioned to me at the weekend.
After that you will get a detailed replay to it.

Bios PAssword Reset @ HP TouchSMart 600-1200 ???

@Andrick

Thank you for replying with this detailed response 😉

I appreciate your time and efforts,

Please take your time on replying,

I shall wait for you!

That said, Yes, you will have to Contact Russian Support to avail any hardware repair/replacements,

However, if you are in need of software-over the phone support - you can Contact the German Support Team.

In your case, I recommend Russian support so that they can work on getting the device repaired.

Folloiwing your link ... there is no bios file aviable for my PC... where i can get Ami Bios 6.03 (or newer) ?

Additionaly I downloaded HP-Vision Hardware diagnostic. For UEFI systems there are servel   Bios Update files on Bord, as well as Flash tools as i could see on the flashdrive and read  in the description file. For The Bios Version there are no such tools included or documented ?
