I installed the recent BIOS from HP. It crashed my computer. Blue screen says boot device not found.  Impossible to contact HP about this. How do I fix? Have even tried a hard restart But even that doesn't work. How can I fix this?

Hi,

I would say the BIOS update has been successful if you see a "boot device error" after the update.

You could check for coincidental HDD failure. A blue screen boot device error could be a BIOS hardware error or a Windows/BIOS configuration error.

Have you changed any BIOS storage device configuration settings? For example AHCI to RAID or vice versa?

Start the PC. Tap "ESC".

Select "F2". Then run system tests to check for hardware failure.

Regards
